From your schedule to your site

Quotation
We collect quotations from the factories that run the production line for each product, compare them, and quote you like-for-like against your specification.

Samples
For large orders, samples are couriered to you for approval before production.

PI and deposit
Once your selection is final we issue a proforma invoice. Payments go only to the company account named on your PI — never to an individual, never to a factory.

Drawings and finishes
For custom pieces the factory prepares shop drawings and material lists, and you sign off drawings, fabrics and finishes before production.

Inspection
When production is finished, our own QC team inspects the goods before shipment and sends you a report with photos and video.

Shipping and after-sales
After the balance is paid we load full containers, ship, and send a loading report. Products we source carry the warranty period stated on the PI.
Four things we do not leave to chance
The factory that makes it
Most of what is sold as “factory direct” in China is sold by traders, and every layer is paid for by you. We buy from the factory that runs the production line for your product. Furniture manufacturing is highly specialised: seating, casegoods, upholstery, metal frames and fixed joinery come from different factories, and we use each one only for what its line actually makes.
Compliance is checked before we quote
Our main markets are North America and Australia, where contract furniture is specified against local standards, so the first step in choosing a factory is checking that it holds the test reports or certifications for that specific product — confirmed before we quote.
One counterparty
We contract with the factory in our own name, and that contract is what protects you: how non-conforming goods are handled, penalties for late delivery, warranty terms — all enforceable under Chinese law. All quotations, invoices and shipping documents are issued by FBM Sourcing.
Inspection by our own team
Before shipment, our own QC team checks quantities, dimensions, finish, fabric and foam, hardware and packing against the signed-off specification, and you receive a QC report with photos and video. Any item that does not meet the agreed standards is recorded in the inspection report.

- The specification or a reference photo or link for each item: dimensions, materials, fabric and finish
- Your fabric and finish selections, or ask us to propose them; tell us if fabric is supplied by you (COM)
- Where your project is, so we check the standards your market requires
What the quotation shows. Per line: item, specification, materials, fabric and finish, dimensions, unit price, quantity, packing and lead time — like-for-like against your spec, any substitution flagged.
